We not only help you come up with solutions for specific issues, but more importantly we teach and empower you so you can be victorious well into the future. John Williams

Executive coach and group chair

John has 50 years of leadership experience both as an MD and peer group chair and executive coach. After 30 years with the global manufacturer Alcan, he became an executive group chair and coach with Vistage followed by Nexus Leaders which he
founded in 2016. John has facilitated over 250 group meetings and led 3000 1-2-1 coaching sessions. His goal is to help executives achieve their maximum potential and is inspired seeing his members exceed their expectations.

Tim Povall

Executive Coach and Group Chair

With 25 years experience from one of the most successful and demanding companies in the world , sharpened with running his own business for 5 years, Tim’s extensive background is ideal to help Managing Directors succeed in their roles.
Tim was a Senior Executive with GE (USA) which included leading a £250mm global technology business. He left GE to create, build and eventually sell his own company in the UK but is now following his passion to coach and mentor senior executives who have a desire to grow.

Dan Turner

Executive Coach and Group Chair

Dan qualified as a Graphic Designer before his career took a significant turn in 2012 when he joined Bunches Florapost Ltd as Commercial Director. Two years later he became MD and since has overseen unprecedented growth for the company. Dan has outstanding people skills and as a Nexus Member, his next logical step was sharing these skills as an executive coach and chair of the Gateway group for future business leaders.

Mel Archbould

Executive Coach and Group Chair

Having sold her business in 2022, Mel has since embarked on a successful coaching career. She has business experience, acumen and leadership development skills in abundance, and is truly passionate about working with SME leaders to help them realise their vision when it comes to their professional and personal goals.

Paul Robinson

Executive Coach and Group Chair

Paul led a management buy-out of truck rental and contract hire company, Alltruck plc, in May 2000, taking on the role of Managing Director. Since then, Alltruck plc has gone on to become one of the UK’s leading truck rental providers with a multi-award winning culture, which has seen the business achieve Investors in People Platinum status. Today Paul is Chairman of Alltruck and assumed Joint Chair duties of Nexus 1 in 2023 (alongside Dan Turner) having been a member of the group for over 15-years.

Graeme Robins

Executive Coach and Group Chair

As a former Headteacher and Executive Headteacher, Graeme has considerable experience of leadership, school-to-school support and challenge together with coaching and mentoring in order to enable individuals to fulfil their potential.

Currently Graeme works as a full-time consultant undertaking a wide variety of national, regional, local and individual commissions with a broad number of partners in the public and private sector.
Graeme is Chair for our Gateway group, working with emerging leaders as they take on their first management and leadership roles.

I enjoy 1-1’s, they offer a chance to break out of the office environment, take a walk for a couple of hours and stop the fly wheel. This 2 hour session offers me a chance to reflect and discuss where I am, what’s going on, highlight any challenges and opportunities, both at home and within the business. Tim listens as I navigate through my download, asking questions and stimulating further discussions along the way. Often it’s simply a chance for me to defrag and re-align my thoughts and energies. But on occasions I have a roadblock or problem that I need more support to overcome, and Tim steps in to offer some thoughts and options for consideration. Jacqui Mason

I joined Nexus at a critical time in the history of the business. We had launched an ambitious digital transformation strategy underpinned by significant cultural and operational change. That included moving to a fully remote working business model where all employees would work permanently at home. Challenges ranged from exiting properties in London and Oxford to raising funds for technology investment, and completing a critical restructure. At times the pressure was intense – but the support and expertise of the group kept me going. Not just the monthly meetings and coaching sessions but the calls and emails simply asking, “are you OK?”. And guest speakers like Mark Fritz inspired the way we led the team through change. The group supported me through an MBO in 2019 – including introducing me to the bank and lawyers who supported the deal. Leveraging the combined personal networks of 11 CEOs is a massive benefit of membership.Ultimately the value of Nexus is measured in results. Our remote working business model gave us a competitive advantage during the Covid-19 pandemic. We’ve been working through platforms like Zoom and Teams since 2017 so it was business as usual for us while others were struggling to get to grips with lockdown. And our year has culminated with us winning the Employer of the Year Award at the Investors in People Awards 2020. The part Nexus has played in our journey cannot be underestimated.
